Abstract Guidelines

Dear presenters:

We are looking forward welcoming you in:

“The Fifth International Forum for Creativity and Excellence in Contemporary Iraqi Medicine,” which will be held in Erbil on May 24-25, 2024.

We have the intention of producing an abstract booklet.

The abstract is an outline/brief summary of your paper/ presentation. It should have an introduction, body and conclusion. It is a well-developed paragraph, should be exact in wording, and must be understandable to a wide audience (please choose a generic topic).

 

Could you kindly submit an abstract according to the following guidelines:

  • Abstracts may only be submitted online via the following e-mail:

  • Your abstract should be no more than 300 words, formatted in Microsoft Word, and single-spaced, using size 12 Times New Roman font.
  • List of author(s): Written as initial(s), followed by surname in capital letters, and authors should be separated by commas (e.g. P.J. POMPIES, A.K. SMITH…). Author’s qualification to follow.
  • Affiliation(s): include authors’ position and institution, city and country.
  • Title: should contain no more than 15 words, written in sentence case, followed by the presenting author’s e-mail (in a separate line).
  • Indicate minimum 2, maximum 3 keywords which best correspond to the content of your abstract.
  • Body: a clear, one-paragraph summary limited to 300 words. Include the purpose of the study, the methods used, the findings and their significance, and the conclusion reached.
  • Note that references, figures and tables should NOT be included in this submission.
  • Avoid abbreviations, acronyms unless essential.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of experts and may be selected for oral or poster presentation.
  • The intent of the scientific committee is to provide high- quality sessions. Accepted abstracts will be published, therefore the research work submitted must not have been published in other Journals and have to be original ( i.e. done by the presenter, or in collaboration with others)
  • The presentation is strictly limited to ten minutes, discussion will take place at the end of the session.
