I’m a faculty member (Assist.Profesor) in the mother college of medicine in Iraq (Baghdad College of Medicine) , in addition I have 24 years’ experience in critical care in Baghdad Medical City Teaching Campus and as an instructor supervisor in Iraqi and Arabic board for Anaesthesia intensive care medicine.

My main interest is Critical Care Medicine and medical education, Teaching, Supervising, Examining undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainers in critical care medicine. Worked with a team of researchers, collecting and analysing data.

However, I have more than 20 published articles, chief editor in a textbook in critical care medicine and contributing in five medical books.

I’m interested in continuous professional development, hence I participated in many workshops, training courses and conferences to achieve this goal.

In clinical service, I started my ICU career coming from anaesthetic background gives me the confidence needed in dealing with critical cases especially airways management, resuscitation, and then consolidated by good practice and certification in medicine. I have more than 16 years as the head of the critical care unit of Ghazi-Hariri Teaching Hospital.

Experience has taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments at an organization. I have the ability to work within a team as well as leading a team. I organized and lead many projects to improve the performance in the school of medicine and the teaching hospitals.

I’m proud that my probity has never been questioned in my 32 years career.
