• كانون ثاني ١٩٩٦- آب ٢٠٠٣ رئيسة قسم طب الأطفال للتطور العصبي والنمائي، رئاسة صحة فورث فالي، اسكتلندا. تضمن العمل ادخال منهاج تعليمي للقسم، تقديم محاضرة سنوية متعددة الاختصاصات للمجتمع عن اهم المواضيع التي تخص الأطفال ( التوحد، حماية الأطفال من الاعتداء والاهمال المتعمد ،الخ) لكل منتسبي الصحة ومن التعليم والخدمات الاجتماعية والادعاء العام ولجمعيات التطوعية الخيرية

إعادة هيكلة القسم لتقديم خدمات بالمستوى الثالث العلمي بدلا من المستوى الأول، تشكيل ثلاث خدمات متعددة الاختصاصات للأطفال المصابين بصعوبة في السمع، والأطفال ذوي الإعاقة البصرية، والأطفال المستضعفين المعرضين للخطر

• آب ٢٠٠٣-آب ٢٠٠٨ رئيسة والطبيبة المعينة لحماية الأطفال ، منطقة فايف، اسكتلندا 

تضمن العمل تأسيس أول مركز من نوعه في اسكتلندا لفحص الحالات المشتبه انها تعرضت للاعتداء، وضع الخطوط العملية للأطباء وموظفي الصحة، تهيئة الدليل العملي للأطباء والعاملين في الصحة وضع خطة استراتيجية لحماية الأطفال من الاعتداء والاهمال المتعمد ، الاتفاق غير المسبق مع الشرطة والخدمات الاجتماعية والادعاء العام والتعليم على استخدام نفس الملف لتوثيق اية حالة يشتبه بها ان هناك اعتداء، انشاء غير مسبق لدورات تدريبية لكل الأطباء حديثي التعيين في كل الأقسام لتدريبهم على كيفية التعامل مع حالة اشتباه بالاعتداء ، تقديم محاضرة سنوية متعددة الاختصاص مع الادعاء العام، الطب العدلي، الخدمات الاجتماعية والشرطة لتوعية العاملين في هذه الخدمات والمجتمع عن الاعتداء والإهمال المتعمد.

٦.                                التدريب والتعليم 

خلال حياتي العملية قمت بتدريب الأطباء بمختلف المستويات والاختصاصات، وتدريب العاملين في القطاع الصحي على مختلف الحالات والمواضيع التي تخص صحة الأطفال وحمايتهم. كما شاركت وبطلب رسمي في تدريب العاملين في الخدمات الاجتماعية والشرطة والتعليم والخدمات التطوعية. شارك في محاضراتي وللمرة الأولى في تاريخ المنطقة أمهات لأطفال معاقين،ودعوت أم طفل معاق أن تشارك في جلسة لوضع خطة استراتيجية  للأطفال المعاقين•

                                       التدريب العالمي 

• شباط ٢٠٠٦- شاركت في أول مؤتمر عالمي في مصر عن الاعتداء على الأطفال والإهمال المتعمد ، عقد تحت رعاية منظمة اليونيسيف للأمم المتحدة ، بمحاضرة عن اصوليات الفحص الطبي لحالات الاعتداء الجنسي على الأطفال. عرضت صور المركز الذي اسسته في منطقة فايف والذي حاز على اهتمام الكثيرين من ضمنهم بروفسور في الطب العدلي من جامعة طنطا والذي قام بزيارة المركز بشكل رسمي بعد المؤتمر بثلاثة أشهر واخذ كل المواصفات للمركز
• نوفمبر ٢٠٠٧ -وجهت لي دعوة من رئيسة الجمعية الموحدة  لإعانة أذربيجان السيدة جوين بيرجل                         Dame Gwendolyn Burchell لتدريب العاملين والعاملات في المركز على تقييم حالات التوحد والتأخر عند الأطفال ، وتضمنت زيارتي تدريب طبيبات المستشفى التعليمي المركزي في باكو العاصمة ، إعطاء محاضرة عن الاعتداء على الأطفال والإهمال المتعمد ، ومقابلة أطباء بناءا على طلب من رئيسة مجلس الإدارة للجمعية العالمية لحماية الأطفال من الاعتداء والإهمال المتعمد 
• حزيران ٢٠٠٩ – بطلب من منظمة الصحة العالمية ، المركز الإقليمي للشرق الأوسط وبناءا على طلب من المجلس الأعلى ارعاية الامومة والطفولة في اليمن ، قمت بعمل الدليل العملي لكيفية التعامل معزحالات الاعتداء على الاطفال والإهمال ،وترأست اللجنة العليا في وزارة الصحة لمناقشة الدليل والموافقة عليه. تم العمل وتمت الموافقة من جميع الأعضاء وهم رؤوساء اقسام طب الأطفال، الجراحة العام، مسؤول خدمات الأطفال في وزارة الصحة، مسؤولة التوعية في وزارة الصحة، رئيسة المجلس الأعلى لحماية الامومة والطفولة في اليمن، رئيس الأطباء الشرعيين في اليمن .

تضمن العمل قيامي بزيارات ميدانية للمستشفيات التعليمية الثلاثة في صنعاء ومقابلة الأطباء رؤساء الأقسام فيدالطوارئ، وقسم الأطفال والنسائية والتوليد . 

تضمنت الزيارة أيضا زيارة عدن ومقابلة الأطباء في المستشفى التعليمي بدعوى من رئيس قسم السايكولوجي ، إعطاء محاضرة لطلبة كلية الطب.

* أيار ٢٠٢١ 

بطلب خاص من مكتب المدعية العامة للمحكمة الوطنية العليا في ادنبرة راجعت حالة اعتداء جنسي على طفلة لإعطاء الرأي الاختصاص فيها

• أيار ٢٠٢٢ شاركت في مؤتمر عالمي مشترك بين العراق، جامعة دهوك وجامعة استني في إسطنبول ، قدمت بوستر وترأست جلسة من جلسات المؤتمر 

• تموز ٢٠٢٢ – شاركت في المؤتمر العالمي الذي نظمه المرصد الطبي العراقي بالتعاون مع جامعة كيب تاون والكلية الطبية الملكية البريطانية، تكلمت عن الاعتداء والإهمال المتعدد في العراق وتشرفت بتكريمي بجائزة التميز والإبداع

• سبتمبر ٢٠٢٢ – بطلب من منصة أريد العالمية قدمت محاضرة عن الاعتداء على الأطفال  والإهمال المتعمد ، تعريفه، انواعه وما يجب القيام به.

                                  الهوايات

احب الرسم واستخدم كل أنواع الألوان فيه لكن تبقى الألوان الزيتية هي المفضلة عندي. أقمت أول معرض لي في الأول من سبتمبر ٢٠١٨، كما احب عمل الورد بالسيراميك البارد ، والقراءة والاستماع الى الموسيقى والسفر خاصة الى تركيا

I introduced for the first time in the region the following vaccines and vaccination programmes:

       Hepatitis B vaccine 

       Haemophylis Influenzae vaccine

       Influenza vaccine 

I established The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the hospital, trained the middle grade doctors and nurses in the Department on intensive care skills.

*January 1996- August 2003 , Head of Services, Child Health Department, Forth Valley Health Board, Scotland.I was responsible for the redesign of services in The Department to deliver third tier specialist services to Karen with special needs. These included:

          *The Multiagency multidisciplinary Hearing  Impairment Support Services Team (HISSC ) jointly with The Speech and Language Therapists, teachers for the deaf children, and Social workers for disabled children.

           *The multiagency multidisciplinary Visual Impairments Support Services for children with visual impairment jointly with TheOphthalmology Department, Teachers for visually impaired children, Social services for children with disabilities.

            * Child Protection Support Service for vulnerable children who have been through a child protection investigation, jointly with Social Care, and Child Psychology Department .

*August 2003- August 2008, Lead &Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children, NHS Fife, Scotland.

I was responsible for the development of :

• The child protection guidelines for health practitioners.
• The strategy for child protection for health practitioners in the area.
• Guidelines on the examination of children suspected of being abused .
• A unified for to record concerns and actions required for cases referred to the specialist unit for dealing with suspected child abuse and neglect. The form was approved and   accepted by leads from Fife Police, Social Care senior Manager, Education Seniors. Fife was a pioneer in Scotland.
• The development of the first kid friendly unit for the examination of all cases of children suspected of having been abused. Fife was the pioneer in Scotland with s service.
• The introduction of a rolling on training program on child abuse, it’s categories, and what needs to be done for all newly appointed doctors . The programme was delivered twice yearly.
• The introduction of a multi agency multidisciplinary annual awareness raising event on child protection relevant topics to all practitioners in all services dealing with children. The first presentation was attended by The Child Protection Government Inspector for the are of Fife, Police Inspectors , Senior Social Care practitioners, Education representatives and the Voluntary Sector.

* August 2008- August 2009, career break.

*October 2009- December 2009, Locum Consultant Paediatrician , Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and Neurodisabilities, and Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children, Greenwich Teaching Community Health Partnership, London. I introduced Chikd Protection Guidelines for Health Practitioners,  the joint form for The Initial Referral Discussion, and the use of the Royal Colleg Proforma for the documentation of the examination of child abuse examination.

     Teaching & Training:

Throughout my careerI was actively involved in teaching and training junior doctors, general practitioners and other health practitioners including Health Visitors, Allied Health Professionals. 

I introduced the concept of, organised and delivered multi-agency multidisciplinary awareness raising events on topics of relevance including complex topics such as Autism,Developmental Coordination Disorder, and various child protection topics.

All events were well attended, evaluated by the attendees, and evaluation sheets were forwarded to The Postgraduate Dean’s Office for The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in Glasgow.

I invited for the first time in my area, parents of children with disabilities to participate in the awareness raising events.

International Teaching & Training:

*February 2006

*I participated in Egypt’s first international conference on Child Abuse& Neglect, held under the auspices of UNICEF.My presentation raised awareness about the examination of victims of sexual abuse, and attracted attention to the specialist unit I was responsible for . A professor of Forensic Medicine visited the Unit three months later.

November 2007:

*I was invited by Dame Gwenyth Burcel, founder and chair person of The United AIDS for Azerbaijan (UAFA), to train The multi disciplinary team. The visit was supported by The International Society for The Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect(ISPCAN). I delivered training lectures on Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and Child Protection to the doctors in The City Hospital in Baku . A professor of Education attended too.

June2009:

*Upon the request of The WHO Middle Eastern Division and The Supreme Council for Women and Children in Yemen, I developed Child Protection Guidelines for the doctors in Yemen having worked with a committee of the most senior professionals  in Yemen’s Ministry for Health, Heads  of Departments from Sana’a University Hospitals and The Chair person for The Supreme Council of Motherhood&Childhood for Yemen. My work in Yemen included field visits to the three University Hospitals, meeting with doctors and assessment of the medical care and premises.

The visit also included a visit to Aden where I delivered lectures to The Medical Colleagues in Aden University, meetings with professionals from Health, Education, Social Services , Criminal Justice and The Voluntary Organisations.

*May 2021:

*I was asked by The Procurator Fiscal of The High Court in Edinburgh to provide Expert Opinion in a case of historical Child sexual abuse. 

*May2022:

*I participated in The International Conference in Istanbul organised jointly between The Paediatrics Department in Duhock University and Istenye University.I presented a poster , and chaired as Moderator a session.

*July 2022:

*I participated in The International Conference in Istanbul organised jointly between The Iraqi Medical Association and The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in London. I received a distinction award .

November 2022:

I delivered a zoom lecture to members of ARID , The Inter Arab Researchers Groupon Child Abuse& Neglect , definition, its categories, what needs to be done and save examples. The lecture was attended by professionals from different Arab countries and different specialties.

 I paint in all media but my favourite remains oils. I held my first personal  art exhibition on the 1st of September 2018 and have exhibited in several  exhibitions . I developed expertise in making air drying cold porcelain flowers . I love reading, music and travelling especially to Turkey.
